Greg commenced his career in the paper industry in 1975 holding a number of sales, marketing and senior management roles. In 1993, Greg was appointment as Chief Executive and Group General Manager of Amcor Merchanting and Trading, an international paper wholesaling and trading group of companies.
Seeking a change of pace, Greg began his consulting career in the late nineties and from 2003 to 2006 Greg returned to study culminating in the achievement of his Masters in Career Development in 2006. With a number of senior positions including Director of Hudson Australasia and Executive General Manager of Clarius Group, his passion for career development coupled with his expertise in business management lead to the next phase of his career. In 2010, together with business partner Peter Bowen, deliberatepractice was born.
Greg’s role as Managing Partner and CEO of deliberatepractice included outplacement, leadership development and human resources consulting practices. More recently, in 2015, Greg also co-founded and worked as Executive Director and Partner of sister company deliberatedge.
Over the past seven years, Greg has played a pivotal role in leading deliberatepractice to the successful company it is today.
During his time as CEO and Managing Partner Greg, together with Peter Bowen and the deliberatepractice team, has led a 25 per cent year on year growth and played a pivotal role in the establishment and building of deliberatepractice’s outplacement and leadership development practices to be the key market contributor it is today.
From 1 July, cofounder and business partner Peter Bowen will assume the role of Managing Partner and CEO of deliberatepractice and Nick Kennedy, founder and Managing Partner of sister company, deliberatedge, will be appointed Executive Director of deliberatepractice. Nick will play an active leadership role and, together with Peter, lead deliberatepractice into the next phase of its journey.
Whilst we farewell Greg from deliberatepractice, we can be sure to see him again. Greg will be enjoying spending time with his family as well as focusing on his personal hobbies such as music, boating or travelling both Australia and abroad. You may also cross paths as he embarks on the next chapter of his professional career including writing and publication in the fields of leadership and careers, directorships as well as charity and pro bono work.
