Aged Care sector opportunities
The aged care sector is under immense pressure as it deals with the coronavirus pandemic. A combination of outbreaks and prevention measures including carers only being able to work at one home means the sector is increasingly finding it difficult to fill rosters. The aged care sector provides an essential service and during this time of need, we are looking for casual staff, who want to make a difference, and support residents and provide their families the comfort that they are being looked after. These casual positions will be over and above the standard roster and will be focused on providing support to residents, including companionship, communication with families and some light cleaning duties.
The opportunity today is to join one of Australia’s largest aged care providers on a casual basis as part of a surge workforce. Joining an employer of choice, you will be engaged for a finite period to ensure the highest standards are maintained across resident customer service, companionship, housekeeping and catering. As comprehensive training will be provided, previous experience in aged care is not essential.
Safety of people is paramount and their absolute priority. As a new casual employee, you will go through a thorough on boarding program as well as receive comprehensive training prior to commencing work under the supervision of highly skilled managers. Your training will ensure you are fully equipped with an understanding of infection control and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimise the chances of you contracting COVID-19. In addition, this organisation also has strict visitors’ restrictions and hygiene policies across all of their homes making the sector one of the safest environments to work in this current climate.
We have provided below a link of detailed information about the opportunities to help inform you. We encourage you to take the time to review this information.
